Our Story
Qombis was founded in the heart of the Peruvian Andes, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, by Silvia and Ricardo—a Spanish-Peruvian couple now living in Germany. The idea for our brand was born during a special moment in our lives: our wedding in Peru. We both wanted to wear something on that day that connected us to Peruvian culture. So, we chose alpaca clothing, a material that instantly captivated us. When the salesperson suggested bringing these unique pieces to Europe, the foundation of Qombis was laid.
Today, Qombis is much more than just a brand. We represent a close bond between two worlds—the artisanal tradition of Peru and the modern demands for quality and sustainability that we have come to appreciate in Europe. Our clothing brings together the best of both cultures: high-quality, sustainable materials and timeless design.
Our commitment
We are passionate about conscious and fair fashion. We work closely with weavers and families in Peru, ensuring that all our partners can work under fair conditions. Supporting local communities is important to us, especially empowering women who are traditionally engaged in weaving to achieve economic independence.
Respect for the environment is also a central part of our philosophy. That’s why we primarily use natural materials like alpaca, wool, and cotton. In some cases, we intentionally incorporate small amounts of synthetic fibers to enhance the quality of our products, whether by increasing durability or comfort.
Our products
At Qombis, we firmly believe in the values of slow fashion. Each garment is designed and crafted with great care, with the entire process taking up to a year. We focus on craftsmanship and quality, so our clothing is not only modern and urban but also has a design that goes beyond short-lived trends. Our cuts are made to stay relevant over time.
Our collections are produced in small quantities to avoid overproduction and waste. We combine traditional Peruvian techniques with modern production methods. Some of our pieces are handwoven on traditional looms, while others are crafted industrially to ensure the highest quality.
Our vision
With Qombis, we aim not only to offer clothing but also to create a bridge between Peru and Europe. Our vision is to promote sustainable fashion while preserving Peru’s traditional craftsmanship. We dream of expanding our collection and initiating projects that positively impact the environment and the social structures of the textile industry.
